![]() ![]() XBMC4Xbox acting as UPnP server, first setting), Media Renderer (e.g. Hmm, the last part bugged me and this page goes into the whole subject nicely explaining the Media Server (e.g. The errors I get in xbmc.log with debugging enabled read: I have tried everything I can think of with regard to manually adding the UPnP server as well: IP without port, IP with port, hostname of computer running the server… all come back with a pop-up saying that it cannot connect to the share (or something along those lines). Curiously, when I enable "Share video and music libraries through UPnP" in XBMC4Xbox, I am able to browse and play content from the Xbox just fine. I am able to discover and play media from any of the UPnP server apps listed above using VLC. I have also tried PS3 Media Center, Kodi, Plex Media Server, and Majestic Media Server with no better success none of them will cause anything to show in the list of addable UPnP sources in XBMC4Xbox (PS3 Media Center fails to find the Xbox renderer completely). I've made sure I've enabled "Allow conrol of XBMC via UPnP" on both fresh installs, as well as on my regular install.īoth Elgato's EyeConnect UPnP software and the built-in UPnP server for Windows 7 on a different machine both detect and list the IP address of the Xbox, suggesting to me that the problem is client-side. I've tried exiting and reloading the "Add Source…" drop down many times (suggested as a fix in one bug report I found), as well as rebooting the xbox, doing fresh install of 3.5 with the Installer plugin, as well as 3.3.3 when that didn't work (no difference). I've tried multiple UPnP servers on 3 different computers on the network, and none of them will show up in the "Add Source…" context menu when selecting the UPnP drop down (no freezing, as I saw users in other threads reporting, just an empty folder with the "up directory" arrow). I'm having an issue with UPnP in XBMC4Xbox I hope someone might know how to fix. A lot of perfectly good hardware is being saved from the trash bin because software like this is being actively maintained for it. First of all, a thanks to everyone involved in the continued support of XMBC and other software on the original Xbox. ![]()
